Ministries

Prayer
Most importantly, Shemen Sasson encourages believers to develop and deepen their personal relationships and communication with God. Times of prayer are also shared between friends, in counseling sessions, in worship services, in life groups, in congregational prayer meetings, and in citywide prayer gatherings.

Worship
In Shemen Sasson, our times of worship are often spontaneous as we get together in each others homes or in informal gatherings in parks or other public places. We also enjoy worshiping the Lord with musical instruments, song, and dance in our weekly worship services.

Teaching
Bible teaching, including the practical application of biblical principles to daily life, is provided by Shemen Sasson during our weekly worship services, in life groups, in seminars, and in periodic topical classes.

Outreach
Our most effective means of outreach is through genuine friendship. When people know that we sincerely love them, and when they see something in our lives that reflects the life and nature of Jesus, then hearts are opened and questions are asked. Shemen Sasson also sends teams to participate in special outreach events.

Life Groups
We encourage all those who consider Shemen Sasson to be their congregational home to be involved in some form of small group fellowship. Small groups provide a feeling of family and a sense of belonging. They are a place for developing deeper friendships and commitments to helping one another to grow in our walks with the Lord.

Freedom
Freedom ministry is a broad term, referring primarily to counseling and prayer that helps to heal wounded hearts and broken lives, and seeks to remove hindrances to intimacy with God. Shemen Sasson is committed to helping people as much as we are currently able in this area of need, and are likewise committed to learning all we can to do so more effectively in the future.

Children
The children participate in the worship portion of Shemen Sasson's weekly congregational meetings. During the teaching portion of the meetings, classes are provided for children from the ages of two to ten. The children have the opportunity to interact with one another, do creative projects, and learn bible stories and principles.

Women
Shemen Sasson schedules periodic events for woman that include times of worship, prayer, teaching, and fun. Shemen Sasson also currently has one life group that is dedicated to women's ministry.

Community Service
Shemen Sasson desires to bless Jerusalem and Israel through practical service. We are currently sponsoring the ELY project, which sends teams of volunteers to clean up garbage in poor neighborhoods of both East and West Jerusalem.
